Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Graduate, the classic 1968 Mike Nichols (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) coming-of-age romantic melodrama ("'Benjamin do you find me undesirable?' 'Oh, no Mrs. Robinson. I think you're the most attractive of all my parents' friends.'"; "This is Benjamin. He's a little worried about his future."; "'Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me...aren't you?'"; "Screenplay by Calder Willingham and Buck Henry"; "Songs by Paul Simon performed by Simon and Garfunkel"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a college graduate who becomes involved with the wife of his father's business partner and then romances her daughter) starring Anne Bancroft (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Mrs. Robinson), Dustin Hoffman (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Benjamin Braddock), Katharine Ross (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Elaine Robinson), William Daniels (as Mr. Braddock), Murray Hamilton (as Mr. Robinson), Elizabeth Wilson (as Mrs. Braddock), Buck Henry (who wrote the screenplay, as the "Room Clerk"), Brian Avery (as Carl), Norman Fell (as Mr. McCleery), and a young Richard Dreyfuss (in a bit part, but he does have two lines!) The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had staple holes, some small tears, and tiny paper loss down the center of the image and across the foldlines (there are none in Hoffman's head, but some in his body and in Bancroft's arm and leg); these areas were somewhat touched up during linenbacking (they are noticeable from close up, but not very noticeable from any distance). If I owned the poster I would have additional restoration performed, for I feel pretty certain that a talented restorer could completely restore these defects without putting a lot of paint on the poster; please do not bid on the poster unless you can accept its defects or are willing to have further restoration done!
