An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, the 1972 John Huston outlaw cowboy western biography ("If this story ain't true... it shoulda been."; "All he wanted was law and order... if he had to kill every last man to get it!"; "Original Screenplay by John Milius"; about the legendary outlaw Roy Bean, who declared himself a judge and thereby was able to legally rob the citizens) starring Paul Newman (in the title role as Judge Roy Bean), with "Guest Stars" Jacqueline Bisset, Tab Hunter, John Huston (as Grizzly Adams), Stacy Keach, Roddy McDowall, Anthony Perkins, Victoria Principal, Anthony Zerbe, and Ava Gardner ("as Lily Langtry"). Note that this movie has VERY unusual billing, where all of the lead actors were billed as "Guest Stars", with the exception of star Paul Newman! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Richard Amsel Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by director John Huston! This poster comes from a remarkable collection of 81 one-sheets (and one reproduction), which we are currently auctioning in 82 separate auctions. Our consignor was a college professor for a number of years, who was a close friend of Ray Harryhausen, and who became friendly with many Hollywood directors, actors, and crew members. He had a collection of movie posters in the 1970s, and when he would have a chance to meet an actor, director, or crew member, he would find one-sheets in his collection from movies that person had worked on, and he would bring it to their meeting, and ask the person to sign (and on several occasions, he was able to get more than one signature on a single poster), and some of the people who signed wrote an inscription, sometimes personalized to our consignor. He has passed away, and he did not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain all the signatures on his 81 one-sheets are authentic, because they were acquired in person by our consignor. This is a rare opportunity to obtain vintage one-sheets with authentic signatures! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
