Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Young Bill Hickok, the 1940 Joseph Kane cowboy western starring Roy Rogers (in the title role as Wild Bill Hickok), George 'Gabby' Hayes, Julie Bishop (billed as "Jacqueline Wells"), John Miljan, Sally Payne (as Calamity Jane), and Monte Blue. Note that the horse Roy Rogers rode in the movie was his regular companion, Trigger, but because this was not a "Roy Rogers" movie, he could not be billed! Also note this poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good. Prior to backing, this poster had had approximately 1/2" of the right blank border neatly trimmed off. Otherwise, the poster had only minimal defects prior to backing. There was small paper loss in the blank borders, and very minor defects a. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals.
