Storm and sunshine, tropic isles and underworld, the clash of men and women... all moving forward to break like a hurricane over all"; "From a story by Harvey Gates") starring Dorothy Phillips, Robert Ellis, Wallace Beery, James O. Barrows, and Gertrude Astor NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster was folded originally. But it has been laying completely flat for many many years, and we strongly advise letting us send it in a tube, rather than folding it! Condition: fair to good. there is light staining and smudges throughout the poster; there are some tiny areas of paper loss across the top foldline which runs through Phillips' forehead; there is a fine line of paper loss in the lower right of Phillips' image and someone put tape on the back of the poster in that area; there is a line of staining and slight paper loss across the bottom foldline; there are creases, stains, smudges, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster; there are many light horizontal foldlines throughout the poster. Note that this was one of a group of 24 daybills from the 1920s and 1930s that were found together. All have significant condition defects, but many are quite attractive and some may well be the only (or one of a few) surviving examples! But please read the condition descriptions closely and do not bid on any of these 24 posters unless you can accept their defects or are willing to have them restored!
