An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Queen of the Mob, the 1940 James P. Hogan wanted-criminal gangster crime thriller ("Based on J. Edgar Hoover's book 'Persons in Hiding'"; based on the novel 'Persons in Hiding' by J. Edgar Hoover, long-time head of the FBI; about an older lady who is the head of a gang of crooks; she is based on the real life "Ma Barker", but the names were changed in the movie, no doubt to protect the innocent) starring Ralph Bellamy, Blanche Yurka (in the title role as Ma Webster), J. Carrol Naish, Jeanne Cagney (billed as "Jean Cagney"), William Henry, Richard Denning, Paul Kelly, and James Seay. Note that Blanche Yurka is best remembered for playing the evil Madame De Farge in 1935's "A Tale of Two Cities", and she matched that performance in this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. This glass slide is in really excellent condition, and we feel that EVERY collector would be happy to own it. It IS possible it may have a MINOR defect or defects, but nothing at all significant. But we bet many dealers would call items in this grade "mint" or "near mint"! Learn More about condition grades
