A 1953 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Rachel and the Stranger, the 1948 Norman Foster romantic love triangle cowboy western ("Once was a man, a married man... Who couldn't see the danger Until one day, one fateful day... Along came a Tall, Dark Stranger!"; "The Man Who Bought Her...The Tall, Dark Stranger Who Sought Her!"; "When hot blooded men fight over a woman! Not even the Indians can match them for savagery!"; "A bare-fisted love feud!") starring Loretta Young ("Academy Award Winner - 1947"; in the title role as Rachel Harvey), William Holden, Robert Mitchum, Gary Gray, Tom Tully, and Frank Conlan. Note that after production of this film ended, Mitchum was arrested for smoking pot. Rather than destroy his career (as he reportedly lamented), this film was immediately released and did very well at the box office, in spite of attempts by some show business columnists to boycott all films starring Mitchum! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most insert posters, especially from before 1970! Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
