An Original 1956 Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) La Strada (released in the U.S. in 1956 as "La Strada [The Road]"), the 1954 Federico Fellini Italian romantic love triangle circus melodrama ("Filmed in Italy - Where it happened! In English!"; Academy Award Winner 'Best Foreign Picture'; about a brutish strongman in a traveling circus, who virtually buys a young woman to work as his assistant, and they have a complicated relationship, which is even more complicated by a handsome trapeze performer they run into) starring Anthony Quinn (billed as "Academy Award Winner Anthony Quinn"), Giulietta Masina, Richard Basehart, Aldo Silvani, Marcella Rovere, Livia Venturini, and Gustavo Giorgi. Note that Fellini had been a screenwriter since 1942 and a director since 1950, with great success, but it was THIS movie which gave him worldwide acclaim and started him on his road to being one of the world's greatest directors. This movie is considered his first masterpiece, and along with La Dolce Vita and 8 1/2, it is one of the movies that he is best remembered for! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Anthony Quinn! Our consignor met the star in person when he made a public appearance in Toronto 20 years ago, and asked Mr. Quinn to sign this lobby card, which he did. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature surely to be authentic. Also note that this lobby card does not have the title of the movie printed on it (or any writing of any kind), because it is part of a set of lobby cards where only the title card had writing on it, and the scene cards did not. Finally, note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine.
