Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this 1949 re-release one-sheet, and the last one was 10 years ago! Not many people can afford the multi-thousand dollar original one-sheet from this classic movie, but this re-release one-sheet has a different image that includes the classic scene of James Stewart deceived by the false telegrams as Claude Rains watches, and is a very attractive alternative, because it will cost a fraction as much as the original! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a few small stains in Arthur's face, with small paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. The top of the poster was folded back at a slight diagonal and there are staple holes in the top and bottom. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
