An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) A Heart to Let, the 1921 Edward Dillon silent romantic love triangle comedy (about a woman who inherits a Southern plantation, and she looks to take in a boarder, and finds a blind one, who thinks that she is actually the old lady who owned the estate when he was a small boy, and to humor him, she poses as the old lady, even going so far as to wear disguises, which he can't see because he is blind!; he regains his sight, but doesn't let her know, and he watches her go through her costume changes; after many adventures, he reveals that his sight has returned, and they end happily together; if this movie sounds like it has plot similarities to the Sally Field movie "Places In the Heart", it is because it does!) starring Justine Johnstone, Harrison Ford (not the same Harrison Ford that we know as an actor today, but a very popular leading man of the 1920s), Marcia Harris, Thomas Carr, and Elizabeth Garrison. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand-colored half-sheet. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have posters printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the posters one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each poster is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Also note that this half-sheet is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile enough that rolling it might damage it. Therefore we will send it in a large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster! Note that the poster is not so fragile that it is "falling to pieces"! If it is handled carefully, it can absolutely be framed and enjoyed without any worry. Condition: good to very good. There are some tears and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster with a few tape repairs on the back. Fortunately, this is mostly in the borders and the image area is largely unaffected.
