An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 3/4" x 30" [35 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Bells of Capistrano, the 1942 William Morgan singing cowboy western musical ("Gene Autry's greatest motion picture performance!") starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Virginia Grey, Lucien Littlefield, Morgan Conway, Claire DuBrey, and Joe Strauch Jr. Note that in 1941, the producers had the fun idea of giving sidekick Smiley Burnette (who played "Frog") a youthful sidekick of his own, and they hired young Joe Strauch Jr., who played that part in six of these movies, and naturally, his character was nicknamed "Tadpole"! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good to very good. The daybill has some deterioration and paper loss along portions of the lower horizontal fold (see our image). There is tiny pencil writing in the lower right blank corner.
