Anne Francis was an actress from the 1940s to the 2000s. She is best remembered for her role as Altaira in Forbidden Planet. Some of her other movies include: Bad Day at Black Rock, Funny Girl, Blackboard Jungle, Portrait of Jennie, and TV's "Honey West". She passed away in 2011 at the age of 80.

Miss Francis sent it to Harriet Parsons, who was the daughter of Louella Parsons, and who was a motion picture producer. Because Miss Francis tells her all about her life and talks about investing with her, we would think that the letter is surely personally written and signed by Miss Francis, and since the envelope is hand addressed on the front and has Miss Francis' name and address handwritten on the back, then that means she personally signed the back of the envelope as well (see our images).
