An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 11 1/4" x 16 1/4" [29 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) Ladies' Home Journal, the magazine ("The magazine women believe in") which was founded in 1883, and as the American housewife became a greater and greater consumer (with all the new inventions intended for the home), it continued to grow in circulation, and along with McCall's, was one of the two most influential ladies' magazines. It was an early forum for women's issues, and in 1946, it adopted the slogan "Never underestimate the power of a woman", which it still uses today. At its peak in 1968, it had a circulation of 6.8 million! Artist: George T. Tobiy Important Added Info: Note that this is the special Christmas issue from 1909. Condition: good to very good. The last 30 or so pages have some water stains scattered down the left edge of each page (the edge furthest from the spine). It only affects the blank borders.
