If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that most inserts for this movie that we have previously sold have a large corrective credits snipe over the lower right tagline area. This was because that long tagline contained the sentence "Filmed in Giant Panamation". A knowledgeable collector tells us that "Panamation" was simply another name for Harryhausen's Super-Dynamation process. However, it is likely copyright issues with Panavision caused the studio to issue the snipe. In addition, not all of the posters have this tagline (some with a snipe, and some without, and of course, the snipe could be removed). But most collectors consider all the different versions to be from the first release, and they don't seem to put a different valuation on the different kinds. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster originally had two snipes, one over the paragraph to the right of Welch's leg and one over the small credit at bottom right (see above). The person who linenbacked the poster removed those snipes, but you can see some residue where they were. The poster also had a few creases and tears in small parts of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
