An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Baby, Take a Bow, the 1934 Harry Lachman juvenile family Depression Era reformed-criminal-with-family-goes-straight musical comedy ("'Come on in... Let's have some fun!'"; "America's newest rave... singing, dancing, laughing") starring Shirley Temple (in her first top billed role, one of the first of her many very successful movies, all with a similar theme!; "The biggest little star in pictures"), James Dunn, Claire Trevor, Alan Dinehart, Ray Walker, and Dorothy Libaire. Note that Shirley Temple had appeared in several shorts and in a few features before this, and the public loved her, and she was given top billing in this movie, and it is easy to see why when you watch the movie! The movie concerns Dunn, who is a reformed criminal who wants to go straight and live with his pretty wife and baby daughter, but a gangster from his past and a detective who doesn't believe he is reformed make it hard for him to do so. But the movie comes to life whenever Temple is on the screen! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some pinholes, creases, scuffs, smudges, and tears around the edges, and some tiny smudges and stains scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was quite nicely backed, and it looks great, but it doesn't have a "restored" look to it, and it would display well on anyone's wall! Learn More about condition grades
