He is best remembered for playing Jack Tripper on TV's "Three's Company". he had a memorable supporting role in the movie "Sling Blade". Ritter was also the son of Tex Ritter, the famous singing cowboy! He was starring in TV's "8 Simple Rules" when he tragically died on the set in 2003. He was only 54 years old, and had suffered from an aortic dissection. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by John Ritter! Our consignor's husband worked with Mr. Ritter and personally obtained this autograph for our consignor. She does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic. Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall!
