An Original Vintage Wooden Drink Tray (measures 14" x 20") (Learn More) Marilyn Monroe is one of the greatest larger-than-life movie stars ever of the 1950s, and surely the greatest sex symbol of all time! She appeared in several memorable movies including: Some Like It Hot, The Prince & the Showgirl, All About Eve, The Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Monkey Business, and Niagara. The last film that she worked on was Something's Got To Give in 1962. 20th Century Fox blamed Marilyn for the production being behind schedule, and fired her in June (the film was never completed). In August, she was found dead in her home from an apparent drug overdose, and her death was ruled a suicide (though there are theories that foul play was involved, and even in 2024, many people do not feel it was an "accidental" death). Important Added Info: Note that our consignor tells us that Playboy created a wooden framed drink tray in 1954 when they published their first issue (it had handles on it). There was also a metal tray made at the same time. Offered here is the base of the wooden tray (the handles are no longer present). Also note that this item contains an unclothed woman, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have those white bars! Condition: fair. Only the base of the tray is present . It has faded over time, and there are some faint stains scattered throughout. The plastic coating is separating around the edges, and some of the plastic is missing. Please do not bid on this item unless you can accept its defects described above!
