An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Arabia the Equine Detective, the 1913 Oscar Eagle silent Selig horse mystery crime romantic love triangle short (about the daughter of a rich man who has an incredibly intelligent horse, and she has two suitors, and one of them is a thief, and the horse uses his "detective skills" to catch the thief red-handed and that lets his owner find true love!) starring Arabia (billed as "Introducing Arabia, the human horse"), Thomas Carrigan, and Lillian Logan. Note that Arabia, the horse star of this movie, was in two other movies made the same year! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that one-sheet posters from before 1919 are generally incredibly rare. But ones from before 1915 are beyond rare. It seems that the very first "regular one-sheets" were made around 1914, although some from small studios have turned up from earlier years. THIS one-sheet is the one of the earliest one-sheets we have ever auctioned! It was folded oddly and it currently measures 11 1/2" x 14 1/2" when fully folded, so it will be sent in a slightly oversized flat package. Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41" when unfolded. Condition: very good. The poster has small tears and a few stains in parts of the borders and very minor fold wear. It has two light partial extra horizontal folds. Given that the poster is well over a century we old we feel it is in remarkable condition and it is amazing that it has survived at all!
