An Original Hand-Painted Local Theater Movie Poster (measures 28" x 44" [71 x 112 cm]) (Learn More) The Party (released in Italy as "Hollywood Party"), the 1968 Blake Edwards Hollywood movie making acting mistaken identity screwball comedy ("If you've ever been to a wilder party - You're Under Arrest!"; about a major Hollywood production that includes an Indian actor, and the producers hire a real film star from India to play the part, but he is terrible, and he is intended to be fired, but he is accidentally invited to a party instead, with very comic results) starring Peter Sellers, Claudine Longet, Jean Carson, Gavin MacLeod, and James Lanphier. Note that it is said that Peter Sellers did not have a script, and that he improvised all of his dialog, and that the other actors had to "follow his lead", which would, of course, be incredibly difficult. Important Added Info: Note that a local theater had a talented artist take a large piece of heavyweight poster board and hand paint an entire movie poster (images and lettering) on it (and in the case of this poster, they glued three color stills from the movie to the bottom)! Condition: fair to good. There are many tiny tears and areas of paper loss in parts of the borders and there are some tiny dot stains and scuffs scattered through the poster.
