The Sea Hawk, the 1940 Michael Curtiz swashbuckling romantic pirate adventure thriller ("Never before so many thrills! Never such adventure, such romance! Sail to high adventure with 'The Robin Hood of the Sea'!"; set in the time of the war between England and Spain, and the English navy has had no success against the Spanish armada, and in desperation, Queen Elizabeth hires a buccaneer to see what he can do, and of course, he has much success!) starring Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I), Alan Hale Sr., and Henry Daniell

Important Added Info: Note that while we have previously auctioned fourteen different first release lobby cards from this movie, we have NEVER before auctioned THIS great close up card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair to good. It appears that the card was displayed and that the image faded somewhat (probably the reds in the image, which affect the skin tone). There were a number of pinholes, smudges, and stains around the edges, with a few tears, and most important, there was a pinhole and stain in Flynn's cheek, chin, and forehead. It appears that someone bleached the card and put tape on the back of most of the pinholes and tears and then performed slight restoration to the front. Please bear all the above in mind before bidding on this card.
