An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Captain China, the 1950 Lewis R. Foster romantic seafaring crime adventure thriller ("It takes a man to master a ship...A crew gone wild - and a woman!";"Hitting the screen with the force of a raging typhoon! Comes the man called 'Captain China'! A trouble ship... A mutinous crew... A dangerous woman... He can handle 'em all!"; "Captain China master of any ship... any man... any dangerous woman!") starring John Payne (in the title role as Captain China), Gail Russell, Jeffrey Lynn, Lon Chaney Jr., Edgar Bergen, Robert Armstrong, and Michael O'Shea NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. There are some creases and tears of varying lengths (generally 1" or less but some are larger) along parts of some edges. A few of the tears or other defects as described above are repaired with tape from the back (the entire left and right edges have been backed by tape.) Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
