Original Vintage Theatrical 8x10 Still (Learn More) Nebo Zovyot (released in the U.S. in 1962 as "Battle Beyond the Sun"), the 1959 Mikhail Karzhukov & Aleksandr Kozyr Russian science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Billions of light years away... Out in space beyond the sizzling sun in Terrifying Unknown worlds! in color!!!"; "The Gigantic battle! Which race will win... And Rule the universe?") starring Ivan Pereverzev, Aleksandr Shvorin, K. Bartashevich, Larisa Borisenko, and Viktor Dobrovolsky. Note that Roger Corman had Francis Ford Coppola re-cut this movie and add new footage (directed by Coppola, who was billed as "Thomas Colchart") and renamed it "Battle Beyond the Sun"! This was Coppola's directorial debut! Note that, for the American release, the Russian characters were given American names, to disguise the fact that it was a Russian movie, and the American posters credit "Edd Perry" and "Arla Powell", and yet, there are no actors by those names in the movie (obviously, they knew that crediting Ivan Pereverzev and Aleksandr Shvorin would be a dead giveaway that this was not a U.S. movie!). This week on eBay, eMoviePoster is selling an amazing collection of horror/sci-fi/fantasy vintage 8x10 stills. Most of the stills from the 1950s on were obtained by the collector directly from a movie theater. Most of the earlier stills were purchased from the leading movie memorabilia stores in the 1960s and 1970s. All of the stills purchased from stores were sold as originals, and many of them have original notations on the back that would certainly seem to confirm that they are indeed original. We at eMoviePoster carefully examined every still, and believe every one we are selling is a genuine original vintage still! However, since we know there is no way you can know this for sure from looking at a digital image, be aware that we unconditionally guarantee every still we sell to vintage and from the year we say it is.
