An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Single-Sided Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 24" x 37 3/4" [61 x 96 cm]) (Learn More)

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, the 1986 John McNaughton crime murder horror thriller ("He's not Freddy, he's not Jason.. he's real."; although it was made in 1986, it did not get a full-scale release in the United States until 1990, although there were several earlier film festival showings; loosely based on the life of real-life serial killer, Henry Lee Lucas; the movie was both criticized for its uncritical depiction of serial killing, and for not showing virtually any of the killings!) starring Michael Rooker (in the title role as Henry), Mary Demas, Anne Bartoletti, Elizabeth Kaden, and Ted Kaden

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by John McNaughton (he added "To John, Plug it in Otis")! Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Also note that this one-sheet measures 24" x 37 3/4" [61 x 96 cm], but it has not been trimmed.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had many stains that discolored the background around the edges and a few in the top center credits area. There was tiny paper loss in the left of the bottom border. A small bit of the bottom of the "Y" of "HENRY" was discolored and there are a few scuffs in the image, but otherwise, the image area was in pretty nice condition prior to paperbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
