Wellman San Francisco California pre-Code bad girl prostitution mother-son family relationship melodrama ("I've made men and I've ruined women!"; about a woman who becomes pregnant in San Francisco, and her boyfriend is killed in the 1906 earthquake, and she gives up the child to a rich family, and she becomes an important madam at a brothel, and years later, she is investigated by the new district attorney, who is her son, all grown up!) starring Ruth Chatterton (in the title role as Frisco Jenny Sandoval), Donald Cook, James Murray, Fritzi Ridgeway, and Louis Calhern NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this title card, and that was 6 years ago! That example was only in "good" condition (all the borders were trimmed off), and it still sold for $412! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There was tape on the back of each border, and when it was removed, it caused surface paper loss on the back of those areas. There was paper loss in the bottom left blank corner, just extending into the very tip of the black background, and someone taped a piece of another card to that area.
