An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) King Solomon's Mines, the 1937 Robert Stevenson English Africa jungle adventure thriller ("Adapted from the famous Sir Rider Haggard novel"; "It's actually greater than 'Count of Monte Cristo'") starring Cedric Hardwicke, Anna Lee, Paul Robeson (legendary black African American actor, singer, and athlete, who became disenchanted with Hollywood and the U.S. over racism), Roland Young, and John Loder. Note that the great Paul Robeson does not appear on much of the advertising for this movie, no doubt due to the prejudices of the time, which is sad. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one example in all our years of auctioning and that was 31 years ago! Condition: fair to good. The poster has significant water staining scattered in parts of the poster and it has completely separated on parts of the folds. There are also some border and fold defects. It is otherwise "mostly all there" and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
