An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 11" x 17"; 8 pages) (Learn More) Il Mondo di Motte (released in the U.S. in 1962 as "World By Night"), the 1960 Luigi Vanzi Italian mondo around-the-world sexy entertainment documentary ("The Super-Show of Shows! From ballet to strip-tease... A breath-taking galaxy of the most celebrated cabaret and night-club performers of New York, Paris, Las Vegas, Berlin, Tokyo, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Copenhagen, Hollywood, Honolulu, Blackpool"; "This Is It! The sensation filled motion picture that has smashed all records all over Europe! IT'S Fantasterrfic! Over two hours of entertainment with the most celebrated cabaret and night club acts in the world"; "From Ballet To Burlesque"about the "Greatest Night Club Shows on Earth!"; "For the price of a cinema ticket - a fabulous tour of the greatest night club shows on earth!") featuring Wee Willie Harris, Gualtiero Jacopetti (as the Italian narrator), George Sanders (as the English narrator), Belinda Lee, and Ricky Renee. Note that this was one of the approximately 100 "sexy nocturne" mondo style documentaries that were produced between 1959 and 1970, mainly in Italy. They are documentaries that include segments of strippers, which allowed them to include nudity that had formerly only been seen in nudist movies. The strippers are shown performing their acts, and there was an attempt to film them artistically. Most of these films contain one or more of the words "world", "night", "sexy", "girls", etc. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good to fine. please look closely at our super-sized image! This pressbook is in typical used condition, and is UNCUT, what many dealers would describe as "very good" or "very good to fine" condition. It is important to note that it is complete and UNCUT, which is unusual, since the purpose of pressbooks was for theaters to cut out one or more of the ads and use them in their local newspapers. It may have been folded in half horizontally, which is typical of almost all larger pressbooks. Oversized pressbooks were usually folded in half so that they could be more easily transported. This pressbook has some minor defects, which most likely mainly affect the front and back covers, as those are what was most exposed to the elements over the years. Note that since pressbooks did not have NSS numbers printed on them, it was common for poster exchanges to hand write the NSS number on the cover of the pressbook (either in pen or grease pencil), and while this is a defect, most collectors don't consider it a major one (since it is on so many pressbooks). Also, because the pressbook contains multiple pages and was looked through many times, there may be tears, creases, or smudges around the edges of the covers. If you look at the images we provide, you should get a good sense of what minor defects this pressbook has. I would think most collectors would be happy owning this pressbook (especially since it is complete and uncut!), but if you are very condition conscious, and are looking for this pressbook in excellent condition, then you shouldn't bid on this.
