An Original Vintage Sunday News Comics Page (measures 16" x 20 1/2" [41 x 52 cm]) (Learn More)

Buster Brown is a comic-strip character created in 1902 by Richard F. Outcault. Adopted as the mascot of the Brown Shoe Company in 1904, Buster Brown, along with Mary Jane, and with his dog Tige, became well known to the American public in the early-20th century. The character's name was used to describe a popular style of suit for young boys, the Buster Brown suit, that reflected his outfit. AND Love Live Blue Eyes! Long Live the Jailer! Long Live Everybody! by Richard F. Outcault. If anyone knows more about this comic, please e-mail us and we will post it here. AND J.M. Muggsby's Social Aspirations by Harold MacGill. If anyone knows more about this comic, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Richard F. Outcault/Frederick Burr Opper/Harold MacGill
Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a group of six full color Sunday newspaper comic pages from between 1907 and 1913, which we are currently auctioning in six separate auctions, and of course they are all extremely rare! This comic page measures 16" x 20 1/2", so it will need to be sent in a much larger than normal flat package (it would make no sense to roll it as it would surely damage it). Please bear this in mind before bidding. Also note that the front and back of this page have different comics, so we have pictured both sides, but of course the auction is for a single Sunday comic page.

Condition: fair to good. The page is fragile and it is darkening around the edges with some tiny paper loss scattered down the left blank border.
