Walter Ruben New York City/Atlantic City New Jersey romantic love triangle fortune teller melodrama ("From novel by Fulton Oursler"; produced by David O. Selznick; about an early 1900s Irish streetcar conductor who gets drunk and has a one night stand with his boss' wife, and years later, his boss finds out that his son is not really his son, and he fires the streetcar conductor, who goes to Atlantic City and becomes a fortune teller on the famous boardwalk, but years later, he finds that his son is following in his footsteps) starring Richard Dix (in the title role as The Great Jasper), Wera Engels, Edna May Oliver, Florence Eldridge, Bruce Cabot, and Walter Walker NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The window card originally had a blank top that was partly neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. 2" was trimmed from the top blank area and there are three small areas of paper loss in the top edge. There is a 1 1/2" tear in the upper right border and a few smudges in the image, but otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
