Cape Fear, the 1991 Martin Scorsese crime film noir ("From the acclaimed director of 'GoodFellas'"; "There is nothing in the dark that isn't there in the light. Except fear."; "Sam Bowden has always provided for his family's future. But the past is coming back to haunt them."; "Based on the novel 'The Executioner' by John D. MacDonald") starring Robert De Niro (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange, Joe Don Baker, Robert Mitchum, Gregory Peck (in his final movie role), Martin Balsam, Juliette Lewis (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and Senator Fred Dalton Thompson. Note that this movie was a re-make of the classic 1962 thriller starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum, and both of those actors played cameo roles in this re-make!
