McLaglen oil well firefighter fireman rescue melodrama (loosely based on the life of oil field firefighter Red Adair, who became even more famous in the early 1990s for helping put out the massive oil well fires in Kuwait at the end of the first Gulf War!) starring John Wayne (as Red Adair; "The toughest Hellfighter of all!"), Katharine Ross (billed as "That 'Graduate' Girl"), Jim Hutton, Jay C. Flippen, Bruce Cabot, and Vera Miles ("as Madelyn") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the edges of the slide nearly as well.
