A 1923 Re-Release (re-titled "The Wagon Trail" for this re-release) Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 9 3/4" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]) (Learn More) In the Days of the Thundering Herd, the 1914 Colin Campbell & Francis J. Grandon silent cowboy western (based on the story by Gilson Willets, which apparently starred Tom Mix in his first feature film) starring Tom Mix, Bessie Eyton, Wheeler Oakman, Red Wing, Jown Bowers, Old Blue, and Major Gordon 'Pawnee Bill' Lillie. Note that, naturally, movie paper from this 1914 movie is beyond rare. We have never auctioned anything from its first release. We know that Aywon Film Corporation re-released it in 1923 (perhaps a shortened version of the original film). However, the IMDb says that Aywon renamed it "The Wagon Trail" for that re-edited re-release. However, that Aywon release (from which we have seen a single lobby card) says that the movie was "Formerly 'The Days of the Thundering Herd'", so we wonder if the IMDb isn't incorrect in thinking there is an "In" at the start of the title.
