An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10 3/4" x 14") (Learn More) Hell's Hole, the 1923 Emmett J. Flynn silent cowboy western ("A 1924 Cine-Melodrama") starring Buck Jones (billed as "Charles Jones"), Maurice 'Lefty' Flynn, Ruth Clifford, Eugene Pallette, and Dick Sutherland. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This lobby card has been trimmed and now measures 10 3/4" x 14". Note that this is a hand-colored card. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Condition: good to very good. A small amount has been unevenly trimmed from the top edge of the card. There is a small area of paper loss in the right of the bottom edge that has been repaired with brown tape from the back. There is a scratch in the image background at left that has been partially repaired with some marker on the front. Learn More about condition grades
