An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) An American Widow, the 1917 Frank Reicher silent romantic love triangle marriage comedy ("From the play by Kellett Chambers"; "A Metro Wonderplay in 5 Acts"; about a widow who intends to marry a man she doesn't love for an inheritance, and she plans to leave him and be with her true love, but she ends up falling in love with her husband) starring Ethel Barrymore (billed as "Superb Ethel Barrymore"; one of 15 silent movies she made before going back to the stage, not returning to movies until 1932), Irving Cummings, H. Dudley Hawley, Ernest Stallard, and Charles Dickson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good. There is slight smudging on the glass (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned). Otherwise, the slide is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
