But the people whose lives he touched will remember him forever... SO WILL YOU!"; "Out of the ordinary things of life, Walt Disney creates a motion picture that is truly extraordinary..."; "Based on the book 'God and My Country' by Mackinlay Kantor"; the last film produced by Walt Disney before his passing from lung cancer) starring Fred MacMurray, Vera Miles, Lillian Gish, Charles Ruggles (billed as Charlie Ruggles), Elliot Reid, Kurt Russell (in his second big screen role), Luanna Patten, Ken Murray, and John Larroquette (in his very first movie!). Note that prior to being an actor, Fred MacMurray had played the saxophone in a band, and this movie includes a sequence where MacMurray plays the saxophone! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the earliest presskits, and Walt Disney went all out in preparing it! It comes in a huge 11" x 14" folder, with two pockets that are crammed full of the following material: eight 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" deluxe stills, nine 8" x 10" stills, two booklets (one for production scenes, and one for story in pictures, which contain 29 and 10 stills respectively). It also contains a production handbook, a 10" x 14" full-color comic strip, and a paperback movie adaptation book! So in all, there are 48 8x10 stills and 8 of the 10x13.5 deluxe stills, plus the rest of the stuff. We have never auctioned this presskit before. Condition: very good. The folder of the presskit has many scuffs and a few stains and small tears around the edges, but otherwise, the items are in nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
