An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12" x 18 1/2" [30 x 47 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) The World At War, the 1942 Lowell Mellett World War II (WWII) political military documentary ("The United States Government Presents The World at War"; "Produced by the Office of War Information, Bureau of Motion Pictures"; "Distributed by War Activities Committee, Motion Picture Industry"). This was a 66-minute documentary produced by the government soon after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and was the creation of screenwriter Sam Spewack. It showed the events leading up to World War II, putting the blame squarely on the Japanese, Nazis, and Italian Fascists. The documentary was narrated by Paul Stewart, best remembered for his work in Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre, and he had a role in "Citizen Kane". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
