An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8 1/4" x 9 1/2" [21 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Franchot Tone was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. He was married to Joan Crawford between 1935 and 1939. He started out as a leading man, but fairly early on, he shifted to playing "the other man" (the one who never got the girl!), and later he seamlessly shifted to playing character roles. Some of his movies include: Mutiny On The Bounty (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Advise & Consent, Bombshell, Phantom Lady, and Five Graves to Cairo. He passed away in 1968 at the age of 63. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Franchot Tone! Our consignor purchased this signed item from the estate of a major autograph collector, and while he does not have a certificate of authenticity, both he and we are certain the autograph is authentic. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 8 1/4" x 9 1/2" [21 x 24 cm]. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
