'The Killer Shrews'"; "They had to eat 3 times their body weight each day... Or Starve!"; about a group of people trapped on an island with a doctor whose experiment has unwittingly created giant shrews) starring Ingrid Goude, James Best, Ken Curtis, Baruch Lumet (father of director Sidney Lumet!), and Gordon McLendon. Note that the ad campaign for this strange movie used very clever art that only shows a "shrew tail" covering a woman's shoe with the tagline "all that was left after..."! Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned four examples of this half-sheet, but the last one was 7 years ago! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never machine folded, but it was folded 5" from the top. All four borders were also folded back at one time. There were creases, smudges, and scuffs around the edges, with some scattered throughout the image, as well as some pinholes. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
