Griffith silent family relationship romantic love triangle mystery crime murder thriller (about a pretty young woman who is romanced by a rich man who has a hold over her mother, but she falls in love with a young man who is accused of a murder he didn't commit) starring Carol Dempster, Henry Hull, Porter Strong, Morgan Wallace, and Charles Croker-King. Note that Porter Strong was a white actor who played a black character in this movie called "Romeo Washington". It was the worst sort of black stereotype characterization, which might surprise those who thought that D.W. Griffith had changed after the negative criticism of The Birth of a Nation, but of course, such characterizations were standard at this time, and continued through the 1940s. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. The card was folded down the center, and there are tape repairs on the back of that fold where it has separated. It has darkened and there are creases and scuffs scattered throughout.
