Note that in 1974, 20th Century Fox had the idea of having movie theaters show the five "Planet of the Apes" movies in a single program, and produced special movie posters, with an image of an ape from the movies pointing at you, with the tagline "GO APE!". The bottom of this poster had five boxes with the titles of the five movies. Not surprisingly, this idea did not go over well with movie theaters, because they would be selling a single ticket, and having kids sit in their theater all day long! Most of the surviving examples of the theatrical "Go Ape!" poster are found with several of the bottom boxes taped over, because the theater only showed two of the movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. There are faint minor creases throughout the poster. There is a tiny area of surface paper loss below "APE" in the blue background. Learn More about condition grades
