An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Dangerous Curve Ahead, the 1921 E. Mason Hopper silent romantic love triangle marriage domestic comedy (about a woman who has two boyfriends, and she marries one and has two children, but years later, she considers straying with her ex-boyfriend, which is the "dangerous curve ahead" of the title, but fortunately, she does not do so, just in time) starring Helene Chadwick, Richard Dix (in his third movie!), Maurice 'Lefty' Flynn, James Neill, Edythe Chapman, and Kate Lester. Note that Richard Dix acted in college productions, but intended to become a banker, after having excelled at sports. But he appeared in a movie at age 23, and four years later, he made his second movie, and soon became a top star, and stayed one for a couple of decades! We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds, with pretty minor wear on the folds. It had some tears and tiny paper loss in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. After the poster was backed, it was slightly roughly handled, and it acquired a crease in the black background at the bottom, to the right of the "N" of "GOLDWYN", but it is not very noticeable, and it could easily be touched up without re-backing the poster. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
