He is likely best remembered for his role as Uncle Joe on TV's "Petticoat Junction". Some of his movies include: Benji, McLintock, and Shane (as Fred Lewis). He passed away in 1979 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION has been personally autographed (signed) by Edgar Buchanan! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". In the case of this still, he likely purchased it autographed, because it is not autographed to him. The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. Condition: good to very good.
