A 1933 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Count, the 1916 Charlie Chaplin silent slapstick romantic comedy short (about the Tramp getting a job working for a count, but then he irons his trousers and burns them and is fired; he finds an invitation to a party for the count, and he goes to the party and impersonates the count, but then the real count shows up) starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Edna Purviance, Eric Campbell, Albert Austin, Henry Bergman, and Leo White (in the title role as Count Broko)
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from ANY release of this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned three lobby cards (one first release card for $785, one from a 1920s re-release card for $421, and one from a 1933 re-release), a first release window card (which sold for $4,500!), a 1950s re-release Australian daybill, a Danish program from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind from ANY release). That 1933 re-release lobby card has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of this card we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair. The card is stained throughout. It was once folded vertically between Chaplin and Purviance. There is paper loss in three corners and a tape repair on the back of the lower right corner. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card. Please do not bid on this card unless you can accept its significant defects described above.
