Date Sold 2/4/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Kirk Alyn (born John Feggo Jr.) was an actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. He is best known for being the first on screen Superman, in the 1948 serial, Superman, and in the 1950 sequel Atom Man vs. Superman. He also played the starring role in Blackhawk (which was also based on a D.C. comic hero). He had been 37 when he played Superman for the first time, and surprisingly, his movie career fizzled in the early 1950s (perhaps related to the end of serials), and he retired. In the 1960s and 1970s, he was regularly seen at comic book conventions, often selling autographed photos and repro posters to fans. He passed away in 1999 at the age of 88. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Kirk Alyn!
