An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 13 3/4" [28 x 35 cm]) (Learn More) A Favorite Fool, the 1915 circus romantic marriage family comedy short (written and produced by Mack Sennett) starring Eddie Foy ("with the Seven Little Foys"; Eddie Jr., Bryan, Charley, Irving, Madeline, Mary, and Richard), Polly Moran, Charles Arling, Mae Busch, Josef Swickard, Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), and Irving Bacon (uncredited in his first movie role!). Note that Eddie Foy was a major figure in early silent comedy, and he likely would not be well remembered today, except Bob Hope starred as him in the 1955 movie, "The Seven Little Foys", which told his life story and that of his seven children who appeared in his act with him! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Not only that, but we have never sold any Eddie Foy silent movie paper of any kind! Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 11" x 13 3/4" [28 x 35 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card had a small amount trimmed from the right blank border. It had many tears and some pinholes around the edges, with a large area of light staining in the entire bottom left (see our images). It had paper loss and tears at the top center that affected the "E" of "TRIANGLE". It had paper loss in the top left corner. Someone taped paper to the back of some of the border areas and performed some amateur restoration without backing the card. Obviously, additional restoration could be performed, or the card could be displayed as it is. Learn More about condition grades
