Collins (billed as "Lew Collins") seafaring crime melodrama ("An original story by Ethel Hill"; a wacky story of an Shanghai-like island where there are no laws and anything goes, and a beautiful socialite ends up there because she has apparently murdered a man, and she must fend off the unwanted attentions of the worst man on the island!) starring Dorothy Sebastian, Fred Kohler, Leon Ames (billed as "Leon Waycoff"), Gertrude Astor, Maurice Black, James Flavin, and Jason Robards Sr. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had a large triangular area of paper loss at top center, extending into the top of the "P". It had some paper loss scattered in the bottom half of the vertical fold, with some tears and small paper loss on the rest of the vertical fold and on the one horizontal fold (it was only folded once in each direction). It also had darkening on both folds and in the outer edges of the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
