Date Sold 10/1/2009 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 7 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (11x14; LCs; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Officer 666, the 1920 Harry Beaumont silent crime police impersonation romantic love triangle comedy ("The Cohan and Harris Notable Stage Success by Augustin MacHugh and Winchell Smith"; about a bored millionaire who has a great art collection, and he hires a policeman to guard it, and then he bribes the policeman to let him wear his uniform, so he can pretend to be guarding his own collection, and then a famous art thief comes along, who is posing as the rich man, and tries to convince the "cop" that he is the rich man, when actually the cop is the rich man!) starring Tom Moore, Jean Calhoun, Jerome Patrick, Harry Dunkinson (in the title role as Policeman Phelan - Officer 666), Raymond Hatton, and Priscilla Bonner. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these are hand-colored cards. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Condition: very good. Each of the cards has some border defects, including pinholes and staining.
