A Vintage Autographed Softcover Book (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]; 81 pages) (Learn More) Forry!, the 1966 biographical book ("A special publication presented to Forrest J. Ackerman, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his birthday, and the 40th anniversary of his discovery of Science-Fiction") created by the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society. Note that this book was presented to Ackerman and guests at the Testimonial Banquet which was being held in his honor at the Hollywood Knickerbocker Hotel in Hollywood, California. We don't know how many examples of this book were printed, but it surely could not have been many, and we don't know how many survive, but it is surely very few! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Forrest J. Ackerman AND Ray Bradbury! Our consignor is a very longtime collector and works in the movie industry, and he was lucky enough to have attended this event in 1966 in person, and both Mr. Ackerman and Mr. Bradbury signed this rare book for him in his presence. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signatures are authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
