In 1925 (just ahead of the 50th Anniversary of the Massacre at the Little Big Horn, known as "Custer's Last Stand"), the original movie was re-cut and some new footage was shot and the movie was re-presented with all new posters and lobby cards. I have never seen or heard of ANY 1912 movie paper item of any sort from this movie, so items from the 1925 re-edited version are the only option if one wants to get something from this movie! The poster had very little fold wear, but it had a number of small tears scattered in parts of the image, with some surface paper loss on parts of those small tears. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed the poster well, but then pretty much left alone the scattered small tears (which may have been added AFTER the poster was backed, because it shows signs of rough handling). Certainly, any talented restorer could touch up those areas without re-backing the poster, but bear this in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
