Pakula (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Washington Post political scandal newspaper journalism melodrama ("The most devastating detective story of this century."; "At times it looked like it might cost them their jobs, their reputations, and maybe even their lives."; "Based on the book by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward"; Screenplay by William Goldman"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; "; about the exposure of the Watergate scandal) starring Robert Redford (as Bob Woodward), Dustin Hoffman (as Carl Bernstein), Jack Warden, Martin Balsam, Hal Holbrook (as Deep Throat!), Jason Robards Jr. (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Ben Bradlee"), Jane Alexander (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Meredith Baxter, Ned Beatty, and F. Murray Abraham NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). OR you can't see the restoration because it was so well done, but the poster had fairly significant defects. OR no restoration was performed, but the defects are not major, and restoration could be done to the poster without re-backing it. See below for its pre-restoration defects (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Poster had creases and some tears on some foldlines, and paper loss at the crossfolds. It had minor smudges and creases, as well as some border defects, including pinholes and paper loss in the corners. The poster is well linenbacked, and the restored defects are not very noticeable.
