An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More)

Hoover's There ("Over here, Over there, all the world is for Herb' cause he's fair, put him over we'll be in clover when our country's calling Hoover, Hoover's there."). Apparently this was a glass slide created during the 1928 Presidential election by a theater owner who was a big supporter of Herbert Hoover, and the audience was encouraged to sing this parody of "Over There" (of course it is ironic that the slide said the country would be "in clover" once Hoover was elected, but actually, this was just before the beginning of The Great Depression and the "Hoovervilles" that sprang up around the country). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges.
