An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 26" x 36" [66 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Tia Candela (literally translates to "Aunt Candela"), the 1948 Julian Soler Mexican cowboy western family comedy (a woman is a candidate for municipal president in her town, and impersonates a man to terrorize the male residents!) starring Sara Garcia (in the title role as Tia Candela), Abel Salazar, Manolo Fabregas, Florencio Castello, Esperanza Issa, and Jose Torvay. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that the poster has "S.T.I.C. - 46" printed in the lower right of the image by the right border. We don't know if this means that this is an artist or studio name, and if the 46 refers to 1946 (meaning it was created two years before the movie came out). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie!

Condition: good. There is tiny separation at the crossfolds, with some tiny tears in parts of the vertical fold and a much lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. There are creases scattered down the center 2" of the poster. There are some faint stains scattered down the left of the poster. There is a small tear and tiny paper loss in the sleeve of the arm holding the gun (see our image).
